Requiem for Summer'21

- organizing a surprise for my Dad and spending a weekend in New York with parents
- allowing Biscuit on the couch on a special blanket and enjoying lazy evenings with him
- coming to a rally to meet Svetlana Tsihanouskaja
- getting a promotion that I worked so hard for
- celebrating 1 year with Biscuit
- working with a team on a hackathon project and winning Community Impact award
- winning Teameo and feeling so unexpectedly excited about it
- spending 2 weeks with C. family relaxing on a lake
- enjoying friends visits, visiting friends and all the time together ; feeling especially hungry spending time with people after so many months of pandemic
- being excited for my dear friends V and D on welcoming their son to this world
- experiencing tears of joy knowing about people being freed
- taking ferry rides
- meeting new people - there was a day when I met a barista, a surfer and a lady firefighter in one day!
- cooking Molly Baz recipes
- getting a surprise package with Belarus photobook
- having emotional roller coasters


Requiem for Spring'21

- getting vaccinated at Ford Foundation and celebrating science
- hanging out at Times Square with the team and celebrating Vimeo spin off and feeling so extremely proud of the accomplishment of so many people who built the company
- enjoying my morning commute to the office
- continuing to believe that my home country - Belarus - will be free 🤍❤️🤍
- greeting all the office facilities people and trying to hold off hugging them
- visiting Philly for a real get-together with friends and meeting Dyno
- releasing 2 huge projects both of which feel like a defining moment in my career (I couldn’t be more proud and grateful for the team)
- going to my first ever open house
- having a surprise visit from Olya
- playing Stardew Valley with C.
- presenting at a company Townhall and then receiving overwhelmingly sweet response from colleagues
- celebrating Maslenitca with Regina and Rustem (yes, in March) with homemade blini
- sobbing in the middle of Oculus when meeting Anya after over a year of quarantine
- exploring Prospect Park
- bringing Biscuit to my favorite place - Rockaway Beach early in the morning
- cross-stitching while listening to podcast to relax my mind
- giving so many belly rubs to Biscuit
- meeting many of my coworkers for the first time in real life
- hosting a girls dinner (and learning to cook along the way)
- finding out that James Murphy is our neighbor (kind of…)
- exploring new LIC park early in the morning
- celebrating my niece’s Maya’s 3rd birthday with the family
- receiving a surprise package from Hanna from LA
- reading and learning a lot (including taking IDEO course)

- reading about New York and falling in love with the city all over again
- enjoying morning walks with my dog Biscuit
- taking time to enjoy wrapping Christmas gifts
- getting the most sweet package all the way from Belarus with ginger cookies
- re-learning how to drive
- buying a little Christmas tree and decorating it
- celebrating my birthday walking in the city, getting Bottino takeout and visiting Rockaway beach
- getting so many surprises from my friends and family on my birthday
- spending time with my nephews and nieces
- hosting Kanyewasted reunion
- supporting C with meal prep approach
- advocating for myself at work
- taking up cross-stitching again
- resewing dog toys after Biscuit destroys them
- learning how to bake chocolate babka
- going away for the weekend to a tiny remote town in Maryland
- getting my first haircut since fall 2019
- running into James Murphy while walking the dog
- going through existential crisis because of my age, but getting over it pretty much the next day
- learning about indie rock of early 2000s in New York and feeling this mix of nostalgia and sadness

Thankful for all the people and events and decisions (good and bad) of my 20s.
